By booking a stay with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking and Payment
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. Full payment or a deposit (as specified during booking) is required to secure your reservation. We accept payments via credit card (via stripe). We do not collect or store any payment data on our website.
2. Guest Responsibilities
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the booking process.
- Property Use: The cabin is for vacation rental purposes only. You agree to use the property responsibly and in accordance with any posted rules or instructions.
- Occupancy Limits: The maximum occupancy for the cabin is 2 adults, children at your own responsibility. Exceeding this limit without prior approval may result in additional charges or cancellation of your booking without refund.
- Damage: You are responsible for any damage caused to the cabin or its contents during your stay, beyond normal wear and tear. Costs for repairs or replacement will be charged to you.
- Cleanliness: Guests are to leave the cabin in a reasonably tidy condition, e.g. guests don’t have to make the bed, etc. We ask that all garbage and recycling be left in the bin at the driveway entrance
- Compliance with Laws: Guests must comply with all local, provincial, and federal laws during their stay.
3. Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in Time: 3:00 pm
- Check-out Time: 11:00 pm
- Late check-out may be available upon request and may incur additional charges.
4. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our small business.
- Full Refund: Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will receive a full refund of their payment.
- 50% Refund: If a cancellation is made between 15 and 30 days before check-in, guests will receive a 50% refund.
- No Refund: Cancellations made 14 days or less before check-in are non-refundable.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may lead to last-minute cancellations.
5. Force Majeure
The cabin shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations under these terms and conditions due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, government regulations, or widespread health emergencies. In such events, our standard cancellation policy will apply unless otherwise stated by law.
6. Limitation of Liability
The cabin’s owner is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to guests or their property during their stay, except where such loss, damage, or injury is caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Guests assume all risks associated with their stay at the cabin.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nova scotia.
8. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
